Researchers will get acquainted with ongoing scientific research at NICPB, equipment and laboratories.

Principal investigator Eugenijus Norkus participated in 8th International Congress on Energy Efficiency and Energy Related Materials in Oludeniz, Turkey. In the conference prof. E. Norkus presented research results with thesis “Synthesis of nanocarbon-based materials for supercapacitors application”.

Lithuanian researchers from the Center for Physical Sciences and Techology visited the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry in Riga, Latvia. During the meeting, both teams discussed the work being done and the current results, as well as discussed further work.

The Electrochemical Society 241st Meeting in Vancouver, Canada
Principal investigators and their team members from Center for Physical Sciences and Technology and National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics participated in 241st ECS Meeting in Vancouver, Canada. In the conference project scientific teams represented their new investigations in development of new functional materials for fuel cell technologies.

Meeting of Lithuanian and Latvian Researchers in Vilnius
Partners from the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry visited the Center for Physical and Technological Sciences in Lithuania. The researchers from Latvia were shown electrochemical tests for the oxygen reduction reaction. During the meeting, the Latvian and Lithuanian teams discussed the work being done and the current results, as well as discussed further work.

In December 1, 2022, Baltic Research Programme project “Sustainably produced carbon nanomaterials for energy applications [SuNaMa]” was implemented. Project promoter: State Research Institute Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (Lithuania, PI: prof. habil. dr. Eugenijus Norkus), partners: SINTEF as, by its institute SINTEF Industry (Norway, PI: dr. Mari Juel), Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry (Latvia, PI: dr. Galina Dobele), and National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics (Estonia, PI: dr. Ivar Kruusenberg).
